For fans of British rock history, this Yamaha Model E108 upright piano is more than just an instrument; rather, it’s a symbol of an unforgettable era. Crafted around 1996 and encased in sleek walnut, this piano once belonged to Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, the rhythm guitarist and founding member of Oasis. Now, with the recent news of an Oasis reunion—and Bonehead confirmed to rejoin the band on stage—this piano’s story has gained even more significance.

Creation Records
Interestingly, this piano’s origins are deeply connected to the Oasis story. In the mid-1990s, Alan McGee, founder of Creation Records, signed Oasis, propelling the band to stardom. To thank the band members for their partnership, McGee gifted each of them a Yamaha piano. Specifically, this E108 was presented to Bonehead, the steady rhythm guitarist whose style helped define the Oasis sound. Over the years, David Finegan of Cheshire Pianos tuned and maintained the instrument, thus keeping it in peak playing condition. Later, when Bonehead decided to pass the piano on, Finegan sold it on his behalf, ensuring it came with a signed letter of provenance from Bonehead himself.
Oasis Reunion
Now, with the news of Oasis reuniting, the significance of this piano has grown even more. Fans are buzzing with excitement as Bonehead prepares to join his bandmates on stage once again, marking a much-anticipated comeback that promises to reignite the Oasis magic. This piano, once the creative companion of a musician who helped shape Britpop, now carries even greater emotional and historical weight. Therefore, for collectors and fans alike, it represents a tangible connection to both the past and the thrilling future of a band whose impact has spanned generations.

Own This Yamaha Upright Piano
Ultimately, owning this Yamaha Model E108 is more than acquiring an instrument; it’s securing a piece of rock ‘n’ roll history. As Bonehead’s journey with Oasis continues, this piano serves as a reminder of the band’s legacy and the excitement of its new chapter. Indeed, it’s a rare gem for those who appreciate both music and history.
