Lot 90 – Steinway (c1985)

A 9ft Model D concert grand piano in a bright ebonised case on square tapered legs; together with a stool. This instrument was formerly the property of the late concert pianist Gwenneth Pryor.
Condition Report:
LOT 90 – STEINWAY GRAND
Casework: The case is in good general condition and needs nothing more than a clean. There are one or two of the light surface scratches associated with these vulnerable high shine finishes, but nothing more serious than that. Please note: there is also wear to the felt that sits below the music rest
Frame, Pins, Strings, Soundboard and Bridges: Are all good.
Hammers and Action: The action is good.
Keys and Keyboard: The keys are good but there is a little side to side play and it may be time for a re-bushing.
General Notes: This is of course a magnificent piano that needs very little.

A 9ft Model D grand piano in a bright ebonised case on square tapered legs; together with a cover. This piano has a player system fitted.
Condition Report:
LOT 100 – STEINWAY GRAND
Casework: The case is in excellent condition and needs nothing more than the lightest cleaning.
Frame, Pins, Strings, Soundboard and Bridges: Are very good indeed.
Hammers and Action: The action is likewise, very good.
Keys and Keyboard: The keys are modern plastic and in very good condition.
General Notes: This is a wonderful piano, that has the benefit of a highly sophisticated player system fitted; however, if this is not to your taste it does not interfere with the way the piano plays and at some point I suspect will be easy enough to remove. A wonderful piano in wonderful condition.
