LOT 74 – STEINWAY GRAND
Casework: Is in poor condition. There is polish breakdown and there are watermarks and there is fading. Now would be time for a re-polish.
Frame and Soundboard: The frame is good, a little dirty. The soundboard is good. The dampers are dirty and indeed the whole of the interior of the piano could do with a clean. There is a little corrosion to the treble strings.
Keys and Keyboard: Is ivory and is in good condition.
Hammers and Action:
General Notes: In short, this is a nice piano that can be lived with ‘as is’ but now would be the time for a case polish and the attentions of a professional for a little regulation internally.
