June 2023
Various market factors combined to make the sale we held in June a challenging one. However, despite market uncertainty, over eighty instruments still found new and appreciative homes.
Interestingly, instruments that seemed likely to struggle did well, while some that we usually consider to be “safe bets” remained unsold. We are currently assembling September sale and for those of you
considering a piano purchase this might just be a good sale to attend.
March 2023
We are pleased to be able to confirm a strong start to 2023 with nearly 130 pianos making their way to new owners. Steinway and Yamaha offerings remained dominant with a noticeable interest in modern era German instruments and their associated sub brands. An auction total of over £600,000 was driven by international interest and reinforced by enthusiastic domestic buyers. We are already assembling the sale we have planned for June and even at this early stage can report that consignments are looking very interesting. Thank you to all those who took part in our March sale – we look forward to seeing you in the Summer.
December 2022
The December auction is always a fantastic sale to buy a piano ready to be unwrapped on Christmas day. With an auction total of over £570,000 all our vendors will be delighted and our buyers over the moon with their new pianos. Over 130 pianos have been sold and are now making their way to their new homes.
September 2022
The September auction was a perfect time to buy a Steinway with a record 40 Steinway & Sons pianos of all shapes and sizes in the sale. It was a cautious sale with the majority of the lots achieving towards the lower end of the estimate compare to a year ago. Although this did not stop some pianos fetching record prices! With an auction total of over £720,000 all our vendors will be delighted and our buyers over the moon with their new pianos. Over 130 pianos have been sold and are now making their way to their new homes.
June 2022
Our June auction had a fantastic array of art cased pianos as well as some incredible Yamaha uprights and grands all nestled in with makes such as Kawai, Bechstein and who could forget Steinway. We couldn’t be more thankful for your continued support. With an auction total of over £510,000 all our vendors will be delighted and our buyers over the moon with their new pianos. Over 125 pianos have been sold and are now making their way to their new homes.
April 2022
The year is off to a great start with our April auction being a fantastic success. 139 pianos have now been sold and are in the process of making their way to their new homes. The auction total was over £610,000. We have had a fantastic amount of international interest and success with pianos making their way to the USA and the far east. As always thank you to all the took part in the auction and to anyone unsuccessful hopefully we will see you in June.

July 2020
Our July 2020 auction was a huge success. Due to COVID-19 restrictions this auction took place in a new format and at a new venue. We moved to appointment only based viewings and an online auction with no private or trade clients attending in person - a daunting prospect and miles away from what we were used to. Despite the initial challenges we achieved a record auction reaching over £680,000 ensuring all our vendors were extremely happy. Over 130 pianos made their way to new homes.
