Condition Report:
LOT 62 – BLÜTHNER GRAND
Casework: The case is good and has been re-polished at some point in the recent past. There is fading in obvious places but it doesn’t affect the overall look of this piano. The most noticeable point of fading is where the lid has been folded back and you can see the original finish compared to the fade.
Frame and Soundboard: Are solid but dusty and underneath the dust I may be able to see the odd split forming on the soundboard and there are also one or two water marks on the soundboard. The pins and stringing are solid but again there is a little corrosion in places.
Keys and Keyboard: Is ivory and in good condition.
Hammers and Action: Are dusty but good.
General Notes: This is potentially a nice piano that just needs a little bit of work to bring it back up to scratch.
