A 5ft 10in Model T177 grand piano in a bright ebonised case on square tapered legs.
Condition Report:
LOT 59 – HOFFMANN GRAND
Casework: Apart from the odd fingerprint and surface scratch, particularly on the back lid where these scratches will need buffing, the case is in good condition. There may well be the odd tiny nick and nibble, but they are not obvious to me. My eye has just noted a little area of impact damage on the fall when it is lifted, but nothing to note.
Frame and Soundboard: And pins and strings – are very clean and very good.
Keys and Keyboard: Is plastic and in good order.
Hammers and Action: I would recommend that the hammers are given a shaping because they are a little squared. This piano has been played and obviously loved. The action is clean.
General Notes: Just to clarify, this piano was made by Bechstein in Europe.
