Lot 42 - Schimmel (c1988) - | Est. £7,000 - £9,000

£7,200.00

A 5ft 8in Model 174T grand piano in bright walnut case on square tapered legs.

Lot 42 - Schimmel Model 174T grand piano

The case is in generally good condition although there is obvious fade, most notable on the top lid and there is an area of veneer movement below the front of the face side, above the leg.

The stringing is good although there is very light corrosion to the treble strings - this will clean easily. The frame soundboard and bridges are all in good order.

The action is good and plays responsively.

The keyboard is in good condition and the material used for covering is plastic.

This is a fine piano that one could live with quite happily as is. However, if the case fading was a problem then this fine instrument would justify any re-polish work

Schimmel make beautiful pianos that are relatively rare in this country.
