LOT 87 – ELYSIAN GRAND
PLEASE NOTE: THE M28247 IS A RETAILER’S NUMBER AND NOT THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE PIANO BUT c1991 SEEMS REASONABLE ENOUGH.
We think these pianos were made by Young Chang.
Casework: Is in generally good condition. There are one or two very small impact marks to the front of the piano but a slightly larger loss of veneer, a noticeable piece of veneer missing, on the bass side cheek. The case itself could do with buffing – it has surface scratching but it is in otherwise very presentable order. There are of course one or two tiny dings and dents on legs and scratches here and there.
Frame and Soundboard: Are in good order. The soundboard could do with a clean. The stringing is good – there is a little corrosion in the treble string area but this is having no effect on anything at all.
Keys and Keyboard: Are good – the covering is modern plastics.
Hammers and Action: Are also good. This piano plays nicely.
