What You Should Know About Grotrian Steinweg

Grotrian Steinweg has a very long history, being first established in 1835, with a variety of people forming it, including Theodore Steinweg, who later of course moved to New York and called himself Theodore Steinway. That is when Grotrian Steinweg became Grotrian Steinweg Nacht - in other words, after Steinweg had left. The 19th Century instruments are not particularly sought after these days but recent ones, after the new factory was formed in 1974, are highly desirable. I particularly their pianos from the 1980s and 1990s which in my opinion, are very good and certainly very sensitive to the touch.
