The Feurich history.

Feurich was founded in Leipzig in 1851 by Julius Gustav Feurich and rose to prominence through the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, when it stood among the leading German makers.

1851

Founded in Leipzig.

Julius Gustav Feurich established the company in Leipzig, the same city and decade that produced Blüthner. Feurich quickly built a reputation for finely made instruments and grew to become one of the more significant German piano firms.

1900

A leading German name.

By the turn of the century Feurich was producing thousands of instruments a year and exporting across Europe and beyond, its pianos found in concert halls, conservatoires and private homes alike.

1945

A difficult century.

The disruption of two world wars and the division of Germany took a heavy toll on the firm, as it did on many of the historic Leipzig makers. Production dwindled in the decades that followed.

2010

A revival.

The Feurich name was revived under new ownership, with design directed from Germany and Austria. The modern company set out to combine European engineering with efficient manufacturing to reach a new generation of players.

Today

German design, accessible prices.

Feurich instruments are designed in Europe and hand-finished to a high standard, offering concert-grade sound and a genuine heritage at prices well below an equivalent fully German build.
