A 4ft 11in Style 4 grand piano in a bright mahogany case on square tapered legs. This piano has been restored in the recent past and together with a stool. Condition Report: Lot 94 – Blüthner 4ft 11in Style 4 Grand The case is in good condition and has been re-polished in the recent past. The blemishes are where repairs have been done to the body and have retained their darkness whilst the polish around them has lightened with the underlying veneer exposure to sunlight. Unsightly but nothing to worry about. There are one or two impact marks but nothing to worry about. The action is good although the hammers are a little squared. Stringing is good with very light corrosion but nothing to worry about. Frame and bridges are good. The soundboard is acceptable there are obvious shim repairs There is also a split forming to the rear of the soundboard in an inconsequential area. All in all, a nice enough piano and can be lived with as is and needs nothing more in that respect than a little clean. The keyboard is in good condition and the material used for covering is ivory. A nice piano which can be lived as is or indeed will enjoy a little light work – it is up to the buyer. This report is based on a cursory examination and is our opinion only.
