£1,500.00
A Model Trend 115 upright piano in a walnut case; together with an adjustable stool.
Condition Report:
LOT 47 – W HOFFMANN BY BECHSTEIN MODEL TREND 115 UPRIGHT
Casework: The casework is acceptable but there are areas of polish breakdown, particularly on the fall. Because this is a satin finish, this may not be difficult to rectify, but please bear it in mind. There are also a number of ring marks and general water marks to the top surface. There are also one or two impact marks along the top lid and there is also a piece of veneer missing from the top of the left-hand pilaster (that’s the pilaster at the bass end).
Frame and Soundboard: Are good.
Keys and Keyboard: Are good – this is a modern plastics key covering.
Hammers and Action: Are good but the hammer rest rail appears to be shedding its silver skin – this is purely cosmetic and is having no effect whatsoever but the paint is coming off this Renner action. Other than that, this is an excellent piano and it plays very nicely.
