Amendment: A 6ft 7in Model V grand piano in a Sheraton style satinwood and inlaid case decorated with swags, ribbons and floral motifs and raised on dual square tapered legs.

LOT 46 – BECHSTEIN GRAND
Is a Model V. The serial number on the frame is indistinct but there is one that matches underneath which would date this instrument to c1898.
Casework: Is generally good. There are two pieces of moulding which have been provided which will need to be re-glued and there is a little damage to the front arm but nothing serious. The case itself has good polish but the lid particularly is now in need of a revive – the polish has raised.
Frame and Soundboard: Are solid but the piano could do with a very diligent clean – there is a little corrosion to the treble strings.
Keys and Keyboard: Is ivory and is in good condition – it needs nothing more than a clean.
Hammers and Action: Likewise, are grubby.
General Notes: This is a nice piano potentially which needs a little work but ultimately will reward.
