Condition Report:

Lot 10 – Bösendorfer Model 225 Grand
The case is in an acceptable condition but there are abrasion marks, small areas of damage and scratches. None of this detracts from the overall look but need to be noted. There are also one or two cracks in the polyester most notably on the fall and the treble end.
The strings are acceptable there is corrosion to both pins and strings.
The frame is good although there are one or two impact marks on the capo d’astro which have no impact on the sound.
Please Note: There is also a broken string in the upper treble which will need to be repaired.
The bridges and soundboard are good. The action is good and functions well enough but there are one or two hammers sticking up which will need to be dealt with.
The keyboard is good and the material used for covering is plastic.
This is a potentially magnificent piano from one of the most famous makers that needs cosmetic and technical work and once this is done, the new owner will be well rewarded.

This report is based on a cursory examination and is our opinion only. It does not constitute a guarantee and potential buyers should satisfy themselves about the lot before bidding.
