The Broadwood Manxman

Is an historically significant Arts and Crafts upright piano designed by the designer M.H. Baillie Scott. They were known as the "Manxman" model and were part of the Cottage Upright Piano Collection of Broadwood & Sons. Often made of oak, but occasionally mahogany, they sometimes had inlaid or painted decoration. One feature they all had in common though were large decorative hinges across the front of the instrument.
We were pleased to have a nice example of such an instrument in our 12th April 2018 Auction Sale.
