Bösendorfer Imperial Grand

You’ve heard the expression “the full nine yards” – well perhaps we could adapt the phrase for the Bösendorfer Imperial Model Grand to “the full nine feet”.  Most concert grands are nine foot in length but the Imperial is 9ft 6in and incorporates extra notes in the bass.  These extra notes are covered with a little flap – perhaps so as not to confuse the pianist at a quick glance?  We were fortunate to have a 1983 Imperial Bösendorfer in  our sale of Thursday 20th September 2018.  Hammer Price: £20,000
