Art Cased Instruments

Grand pianos with stunning cases have always been desirable and in our 12th December 2019 Auction Sale we had a lovely selection ranging from a 6ft 2in 1926 Pleyel to a little ‘baby’ grand Art Deco style Monnington and Weston.

Lot 58 Monnington & Weston (c1930)  
A ‘baby’ grand piano in an Art Deco designed rare quilted maple veneer case; together with the original matching stool.

Lot 60 Pleyel (c1926)  
A 6ft 2in ex-player grand piano in a kingwood and mahogany parquetry case, raised on six fluted, tapered legs, headed with gilt metal collars. The property of the musician/songwriter Phil Soussan, who wrote and played with Ozzy Osbourne, Jimmy Page, and many others. A signed letter from Phil Soussan is included with this lot.
