A PIANO OF HISTORIC INTEREST

Piano Auctions are pleased to be offering this Erard upright with an interesting history in our sale on the 15th December 2016

Lot 55 Erard (c1921)
An upright piano in a rosewood case and by repute formerly owned by Ignacy Paderewski, pianist, composer and First President of Poland in 1919 and used by him on his world tours. 
Provenance Whitton & Laing auction 15th February 1976 Lot 218 Major Fleetwood-Hesketh lived in Holcombe Rogus, Somerset and his sister Miss Fleetwood Hesketh lived in a nearby cottage with the piano which the family said was the small upright played by Paderewski and taken on his world tours.  Est. £3,000 - 5,000.
