The music of popular ballads, songs and dances in the mid-nineteenth century was not cheap  - usually costing two shillings or so. The covers were often beautifully done using the new technique of lithography and then coloured. Such sheet music is now highly collectable and so Piano Auctions Ltd are offering an amazing collection in our 17th December 2015 sale
