The Sale Of Five Selected and Important Early Keyboard Instruments

On direction of the Executors for the Estate of the Late Mrs Lore Barbara Colt, Piano Auctions Ltd were proud to be offering five selected important keyboard instruments, which were on loan to the Colt Clavier Collection.

A brief description of the instruments is listed below.

• Lot 63 - Thomas Tomkison (c1821) believed to have been made for George IV and was located at the Brighton Pavillion.  Hammer Price:  £62,000   (Pictured)

• Lot 61 - Conrad Graf (c1836) An early Viennese grand.  Graf pianos were favoured and used by Beethoven and Chopin among others.  Hammer Price:  £25,000

• Lot 62 - Joseph Kirckman (c1800) A double manual harpsichord by this famous maker.  Hammer Price:  £20,000

• Lot 60 - Mathaeus Heilmann (c1785) A rare early pianoforte.  Hammer Price:  £48,000

• Lot 64 - Clavichord, possibly late 18th century, German or Swedish.  Hammer Price:  £11,500
