STROHMENGER ART DECO GRANDS

Although Strohmenger Art Deco grands included the same symmetrical frame design they came with a multitude of different styled cases, often incorporating exotic woods. The shapes were described in fanciful terms, such as: ‘inverted crown’, ‘threepenny bit’ and even ‘wobbly toy’; the legs could be ‘slab legs’ or ‘inverted skyscraper’.

We are lucky to be offering one of the ‘threepenny bit’ grands in our 17th December 2015 sale.
