STEINWAYS APRIL 2011

We continue to be a major source of Steinway pianos and our April 2011 sale had both uprights and grands, some of which are listed below:

Lot 30 Steinway (c1883)
A 7ft 3in ‘old style’ Model C grand piano in a rosewood case on turned legs. This piano was restored by Andrew Giller in 1999. Accompanied by a brief history. Sold for (hammer price ) £9,000 (Illustrated right)

Lot 72 Steinway (c1890)  
A 6ft 11in Model B grand piano in an ebonised case on square tapered legs. Sold for (hammer price ) £9,500

Lot 27 Steinway (c1966)
A Model Z upright piano in a mahogany case. Sold for (hammer price ) £2,900

Lot 83 Steinway (c1889)
A 6ft 'old style' Model A grand piano in an ebonised case on square tapered legs together with a stool. Sold for (hammer price ) £5,800

Lot 80 Steinway (c2009)
A 5ft 1in Model S grand piano in a bright ebonised case on square tapered legs together with a matching concert adjustable stool. Sold for (hammer price ) £25,500

Lot 100 Steinway (c1904)
A 6ft 2in Model A grand piano in a Sheraton style rosewood and inlaid case on dual square tapered legs together with a matching stool. Sold for (hammer price ) £16,000
